- Keep your skin moisturized! Use a moisturizer with SPF and don’t forget your neck! I’ve also found adding a little coconut oil or jojoba oil to my lotion helps my skin retain moisture as well, but the most important way to ensure your skin is kept moisturized is to drink lots of water, at least eight 8-ounce glasses a day. It really makes a difference.
- I know this may seem like a no-brainer but avoid putting dirty hands in your face or allowing other people to touch your face with unclean hands. As hard as it is sometimes, do not pick at bumps or acne.
- For everyday use, you can try the ,Biore charcoal bar. ,Biore nose strips are also effective at getting rid of blackheads. For an overnight remedy for troublesome pimples, try ,Eva Naturals Skin cleansing serum, it works wonders. If you struggle with eczema like me, try switching to a gentle face wash like ,Cetaphil. Eczema often comes with an itchy scalp, but some diluted apple-cider vinegar in a spray bottle and a few drops of essential oil eases that discomfort. (Stay tuned for my post on eczema and itchy scalp remedies.)
- Ensure you’re using the right products on your face, depending on your skin type. You don’t want to be using a product designed for oily skin, if you have dry skin, as you certainly won’t get the results you want. (More on this to come later as well!)
- Always remove makeup before bed. Use coconut oil or black castor oil on a wet wipe or a cotton ball as a natural alternative to regular makeup remover and then wash with ,Aveeno clear complexion face wash or Neutrogena’s ,pink grapefruit face wash (especially if you have oily skin). Petroleum Jelly tends to clog pores, so I would not recommend it for anything other than the removal of false eyelashes and lipstick.
- Use a charcoal or ginseng face mask once a week to cleanse pores.
- Take vitamin E or hair, skin, and nails vitamins. I like the gummies ,Optimal Solutions Stunning Complexion Skin Care by Nature’s Bounty.
Pro tip: For natural skin care remedies to help exfoliate and retain moisture, I’ve recently started using Bumble Beauty products. The company was established by a young Jamaican who is on a quest to provide skincare products that allow our skin to heal and glow naturally. So of course, the products are 100% natural and range from body scrubs to moisturizing body butters. They are also safe to use for exfoliating your bikini line! (External use only.) If you’re in Jamaica and interested, link up the ,@bumblebeautyja page on IG.

22nd Dec 2024 - 10:50 pmHello there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
